Peyton loves Legos!

Peyton really loves the building block set that his "faraway" grandparents sent him for Christmas. Standard form for him is to pull out all the orange pieces and line them up and them play with the rest of them...

Here's a video showing him pull out the orange ones.

Thanks again Mom and Dad! He really loves these!

Table Dancing!

This morning, I walked back into the living room to find a certain someone on the coffee tables (that we placed behind the couch to keep the electrical and phone outlets out of reach).

When I asked him to climb down, he decided he'd rather dance...

It didn't help that "The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot about That" was on...

What am I going to do with this silly little monkey?!

Peyton loves Puzzles!

Peyton is getting really good with puzzles. He's finishing them rather quickly and seems to enjoy working with them.

Peyton's First Hair Cut!

Today was the big day. Peyton's FIRST haircut!

Peyton's just too shifty and I'm too much of a perfectionist to do it myself, so we went to a local salon that specializes in children's haircuts, Snip-Its.

They have a train table in the waiting room, which Peyton was delighted to find!

He really didn't enjoy leaving the train table and then what was to happen next...

He started out okay, while the stylist wet his hair down.

And he was okay with her combing his hair.

But, when she started cutting, he was not happy at all!

The stylist had an Elmo DVD, but Peyton wanted nothing to do with it, so I played him an episode of Curious George on my iPhone.

When it was over, he wasn't really sure what to make of the hair dryer...

One last check to make it was all even.

All done!

James played with Peyton outside while I stopped into the bakery across the way for some coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries for breakfast (for me and James).

I got some pictures when his hair dried a bit more.

A much more manageable head of hair!

Then we went to my parents' house (just down the street from the salon), and Peyton had some fun playing out in the side yard.

It was an eventful morning, but his hair was getting quite out of control, and we're so pleased with the result!
