Peyton loves Legos!

Peyton really loves the building block set that his "faraway" grandparents sent him for Christmas. Standard form for him is to pull out all the orange pieces and line them up and them play with the rest of them...

Here's a video showing him pull out the orange ones.

Thanks again Mom and Dad! He really loves these!

The Special Sweater

Earlier this week, I was surprised to find a package on the deck when Peyton and I were going out to get the mail. James' Mom sent a sweater that her mother crocheted for James when he was little. She saved it and now it's Peyton's!

When James got home he saw the sweater and remembered it! We tried it on Peyton and it fits. :-)

It's a beautiful sweater and although it was in the high 70s early in the week, we took pictures to share.

Mom: Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was an amazing surprise. It means so much to me and James! We'll take really good care of it so that we can pass it on to Peyton's children too. :-)

Grandma and Grandpa Stafford's Visit

James' parents came out to spend a week with us in early June. We had a fun-filled week with them!

On Saturday, we went up to the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County for wine tasting. Our last stop was Arista winery which had such beautiful grounds.

A view of the vineyards:

Although it was quite foggy that morning, by the afternoon, the skies cleared up making for a nice view of San Francisco while approaching the Golden Gate Bridge.

As there was a lot of traffic, we decided to drive down the coast. It's just a prettier view. :-)

Peyton absolutely loves Grandma Barbara (and she adores him)!

My parents came over for a dinner to spend time with Mom and Dad Stafford. It gave me an opportunity to get pictures of Peyton with his grandfathers....

and grandmothers!

Mom and Dad had a ton of fun playing with Peyton. I couldn't resist filming this tickle fest!

I wish I could bottle that laugh!

Thank you so much for making the trip Mom and Dad; we love you soooooo much!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Peyton started his day with his typical oatmeal breakfast in his "Baby's 1st Thanksgiving" bib from his Grandma Barbara.

We decided to take a few pictures with his favorite vegetable, butternut squash, which we thought would be appropriate for the day. :-) I made a butternut squash soup to serve with dinner.

We hope you all had a very happy holiday!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody!

Peyton wore his ghost bib for lunch. Thanks Grandma Barb!

Meet Peyton the friendly elephant!

Peyton had fun playing with the pumpkins we got at James' holiday party yesterday. Peyton was a hit at Genentech - everyone was smiling at our cute little elephant.

The costume even has a tail!

Grandma and Grandpa Stafford's Visit!

James' parents, Jim and Barbara, arrived from Pittsburgh last week. Peyton had so much fun with them and loved them from the very beginning (the feeling was mutual!). He's going through a growth spurt so he spent a lot of time sleeping during their trip...

In love from the very first day. :-)

...Dad was having fun with the Wii.

After the golf game, Peyton got to spend time with both grandparents.

Peyton loves his grandpa!

One more pic before Grandma and Grandpa continue their Western baby tour - off to Albuquerque to vist Matt, Kathryn, and baby Lisa!
